Health Reform Beyond Health Insurance

Institute of Medicine President Dr. Harvey Fineberg discussed the future of health insurance in a reformed system when he delivered a speech to IOM members at the IOM’s annual meeting on October 12, 2009. Dr. Fineberg highlighted areas in which significant reforms could help the United States to realize substantial gains in health. The President’s Report Supplement, published in advance of the IOM annual meeting, presents information about the IOM’s programs and activities and an overview of the IOM's finances.
