During this workshop the Clinical Research Roundtable examined the following questions:
1. How do we create a scientific infrastructure to address the full spectrum of health research? How do we facilitate interagency communication and collaboration?
2. How do we create a two way communication infrastructure that enables structured input into research priorities and structured output regarding research results? How do we best engage relevant stakeholders, research participants, and the public in this activity?
3. How do we facilitate interagency communication such that research teams and collaboration among research communities are encouraged and supported?
4. How can we encourage research sponsors to better emphasize "use of research" to their grantees and facilitate the transfer of knowledge across the continuum of health research and health care?
