This public workshop was led by Dr. Jeffrey Koplan, Committee Chair. Presenters discussed two major issues; 1) Identifying challenges and effective strategies for the prevention of childhood obesity in regards to marketing and media influences, and 2) challenges and opportunities for preventing childhood obesity and promoting a healthy lifestyle through family dynamics.
