Institute of Medicine Committee to Evaluate Measures of Health Benefits for Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulation held its first meeting on May 3-5, in the Keck Building, room 105, 500 5^th Street, NW.

On May 4, the committee meeting was open to the public from 8:45 AM to 12 noon, and resumed at 1:00 PM and continued until 2:30 PM, at which time the meeting continued until 5:30 in closed session. The sessions on the first and last days were closed to the public.

During the open session, the Committee heard presentations by representatives of federal agencies sponsoring this project and other invited experts. There was also an opportunity for comments and questions from the public between 11:00 and 12:00.
