Committee and Subcommittee Membership

The scope of this IOM project reflects a recent expansion through funding from additional federal sponsors. This expansion includes more focused studies of both pediatric and pre-hospital EMS issues, as well as hospital-based emergency department issues, and will be conducted within an integrated overall study design.

The 25 member Main committee (expanded from the original 18 members) includes representation from both pediatric and pre-hospital emergency care services;
An 11 member Prehospital EMS subcommittee has been established, including six from the main committee;
An 11 member Pediatric subcommittee has been established, including five from the main committee;
And a 13 member Hospital-based emergency department subcommittee has been established, including eight from the main committee.
