Assessing Improvements in Cancer Care in Georgia

More Information Print   Email

This committee recommended performance measures and benchmarks that can be used by state programs--the Georgia Cancer Coalition in particular--to measure and monitor the impact of cancer control initiatives.

The recommendations focused on trends in cancer morbidity and mortality; prevention and early detection, diagnosis and treatment, palliative and end-of-life care; patient and public perceptions; racial/ethnic disparities in access to cancer care; and cancer care delivery issues in rural areas.
