Cohort R95c: Multiple Sclerosis Print   Email

Title: Cohort R95c: Multiple Sclerosis

Summary: A cohort of 762 veterans diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS patients were considered service connected (all cohort members had at least 90 days of service), and therefore VA compensated, if symptom onset occurred within 7 years after separation from service. The cohort was originally constructed from an Army index of male, MS hospital admissions over 1942-51. In addition to fields listed below in the cohort description, additional demographic and clinical data are extant. Mortality data are being collected.
