Title: Cohort R95a: Multiple Sclerosis
Summary: This cohort consists of 15,011 veterans (5,345 multiple sclerosis patients; 9,666 comparisons). The MS patients were considered service connected, and therefore VA compensated, if symptom onset occurred within 7 years after separation from service. MS individuals were drawn from 1995 and 1996 VA compensation and pension files. In addition to fields listed below in the cohort description, additional demographic and clinical data are extant. Mortality data are being collected.
