Title: Cohort R74: Smoking and Mortality Among Veterans
Summary: This cohort consists of 186, 415 veterans who served during 1917-1940 and who held active government life insurance policies in 1953. Questionnaires mailed in 1954 and 1957 produced information on the use of tobacco, place of residence, usual occupation and industry of employment.
