Cohort R60: Longitudinal Study of Cardiovascular Disease

Title: Cohort R60: Longitudinal Study of Cardiovascular Disease
Summary: In 1944 and 1945 Hillman, Levy, White, and Stroud published a series of papers on blood pressure and hypertension in Army officers. In the original study, the modal duration of follow-up was 15-19 years, with nearly one-third followed for less than 10 years. The data from these studies was then made available to the Medical Follow-Up Agency to conduct a 30-40 year follow-up study, in an attempt to gain additional knowledge regarding blood pressure and cardiovascular disease mortality.
