Title: Cohort R47: Regional Differences in Stroke Mortality

Summary: Stroke mortality in the veteran population was studied among this cohort of 4,008
veteran deaths that occurred during the 12 month period from July 1967 to June 1968. All had a death certificate that showed a cause of death of non-traumatic cerebrovascular disease; approximately 29% of these deaths were from stroke.
