The IOM Committee to Review the CDC Anthrax Vaccine Safety and Efficacy Research Program was convened in October 2000 and issued an interim report in July 2001. For its final report, the committee drew on information gathered and discussed over the course of the study and on a set of written materials provided by CDC in February 2002 that described the objectives and design of the proposed research studies and listed critical research questions.
