Report Brief. Clearing the Smoke: Assessing the Science Base for Tobacco Harm Reduction

Tobacco use,especially cigarette smoking,is the single largest environmental cause of death and disease in the United States.Claiming more than 400,000 lives annually,smoking kills more people than do AIDS,alcohol,cocaine,heroin,homicide, suicide,motor vehicle crashes,and fires combined.
