AGENDA
In May 2006, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences released a comprehensive strategic plan. Seven goals were laid out in the document that would guide the Institute’s efforts to address critical environmental health challenges. The NIEHS vision challenges the scientific community to use environmental health sciences to better understand the causes of disease and to improve human health. The implications, challenges, and research opportunities underlying each of the seven goals will be the subject of the next meeting of the Institute of Medicine’s Roundtable on Environmental Health Sciences, Research, and Medicine. The day will be a mixture of speakers and discussions with opportunity for discussion from the audience and is an opportunity to illuminate scientific discussion a current direction for the field of environmental health.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
