The Committee on Achieving Sustainable Global Capacity for Surveillance and Response to Emerging Diseases of Zoonotic Origin will be holding a special meeting via teleconference with former committee member, Dr. Nirmal Ganguly, and Dr. Mark Smolinski of Google.org. Dr. Ganguly, former Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research, will inform the committee on India's efforts in disease surveillance, and Dr. Mark Smolinski, Director of Google.org's Predict and Prevent Initiative, will inform the committee on Google.org's new portfolio activities regarding global disease surveillance. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 18 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Keck Center for the National Academies, 500 5th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001 in room 101. The committee and speakers will be participating via teleconference.
