The Institute of Medicine is now accepting nominations for the Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health. Please review the award criteria prior to submitting a nomination.
Any individual or organization may submit nominations for consideration for the Sarnat Prize.

Nominations should include:
- a detailed written description of the accomplishments of the nominee;
- an explanation of why those accomplishments merit the award
- description of the major contributions of the candidate;
- evidence of the candidate’s overall national and/or international impact on the mental health field whether it be scientific, mental health services, or public policy domains;
- a select bibliography (up to 10 publications) or other documentation of accomplishments; and
- a curriculum vitae.
Nominations should be sent as a formal letter, in an attachment, to sarnat@nas.edu.
Nominations should not exceed four pages in length. Letters of endorsement in addition to the nomination will not be considered.
The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, May 16, 2008.
