Severe problems in the supply of drugs, the lab capacity needed to diagnose TB, and the lack of adequate health systems for delivering treatment to patients keep existing and new drugs from patients, accelerating drug resistance. More of the same approach is unlikely to stem this tide—new strategies are needed:
- How do we prioritize these problems—which are the most important/the most urgent?
- Are there quick fixes/low hanging fruit that will address some of these problems?
- Is major systemic change required? If so, what are the options?
- How should we prioritize the problems and potential fixes?
- LT research priorities
