The goal of this workshop was to understand how providers interact with the various components of the Clinical Research Enterprise, how the Enterprise can be improved, and to understand what the future vision of the Enterprise should be from the provider perspective. This Workshop explored the following questions with providers:

1) What do providers need from the Clinical Research Enterprise?

• What steps are necessary to improve the translation of clinical research results into practice?
• What are the models that achieve, facilitate, and advance the translation of clinical research into practice?
• What key issues need to be addressed by the Clinical Research Enterprise?
• What can the Clinical Research Roundtable do?
• What are the top clinical research priorities?

2) What can providers contribute to the Clinical Research Enterprise?

• What are the key challenges and opportunities in conducting clinical research in the current health care environment?
• What key issues need to be addressed by the Clinical Research Enterprise?
• What can the Clinical Research Roundtable do?
