The Institute of Medicine's Committee on Future Directions for the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reports met on September 14-15, 2009 at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, DC. A public session was held, where the committee heard from Michael Maciosek of HealthPartners Research Foundation and David Meltzer of the University of Chicago about measurement selection, as well as a second session where Chris Schreeve and Suzanne Niemeyer of Ketchum discussed report dissemination and key audiences for the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reports. The remainder of the meeting was closed to the public.
