As part of its deliberations, the Committee on Pediatric Health and Health Care Quality Measures will convene a full-day workshop in Washington, DC on March 23, 2010.  The Workshop on Pediatric Health and Health Care Quality Measurement and Information Needs is open to the public and it will be held from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Capitol Room of the Venable Conference Center at 575 7th Street, NW in Washington, DC.  The committee’s charge calls particular attention to identifying gaps in knowledge related to children’s health status, health care quality and health disparities among subgroups of children.  Therefore, the primary goal of the workshop is to highlight unmet measurement and information needs from a broad group of data users. 

 

The goals of the workshop:

 

  1. To highlight unmet measurement and information needs from a broad group of data users
  2. To gather information to support the development of a framework, a subset of measures, and a data system for child health and health care quality measures
  3. To illustrate innovative and exemplary data collection efforts to support the development of a framework for a comprehensive data support system
