The Institute of Medicine (IOM) and United Kingdom Department of Health will jointly host a workshop titled: Perspectives from United Kingdom and United States Policymakers on Obesity Prevention. The workshop will provide insight to the similarities and differences between how the US and UK address obesity prevention. The workshop will be a cooperative effort of the IOM’s Standing Committee on Childhood Obesity Prevention, the UK Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
