The IOM will evaluate whether the integrated Department of Defense and Veterans Administration (DoD/VA) health care facility in North Chicago is more beneficial to DoD and VA in serving the needs of their eligible populations than their independent facilities. To the extent that data is available, the committee will evaluate health outcomes, patient satisfaction, provider satisfaction, quality of care, and costs of care.
