The separation of environmental science and public health has become overwhelmingly apparent in many undergraduate curriculums. To more successfully prepare undergraduates to face the many issues in the field of environmental health, the Roundtable convened a workshop that stimulated conversation between scholars from both the environmental and the health communities. The workshop promoted the development of educational materials for instructors from all related fields that incorporate public health into a broader spectrum of coursework including environmental science and design.

The workshop was held on July 22-24, 2009 at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention campus in Atlanta, GA.
