The Institute of Medicine's Committee on Prevention and Control of Viral Hepatitis Infections held a public meeting on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the National Academies Beckman Center, 100 Academy Drive, Irvine, Calif. Speakers addressed governmental and nongovernmental programs and policies aimed at preventing new hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus infections, reducing morbidity and mortality from chronic viral hepatitis infections, and obtaining surveillance data.
