The Institute of Medicine Committee on Lyme Disease and Other Tick-borne Diseases: The State of Science is holding a workshop on October 11-12, 2010 on the critical needs and gaps in understanding the prevention, amelioration, and resolution of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.
This open workshop is scheduled from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm on Monday and Tuesday, October 11th and 12th, at the Washington Plaza Hotel located at 10 Thomas Circle, NW in Washington, DC.
Registration for this workshop has now CLOSED. A limited number of seats will be available on the day of the event. If you are attending the event, but were unable to register, please sign-in at the meeting as a "non-registered guest".
WEBCAST INFORMATION: A live webcast of the workshop will also be available for those who are unable attend. All webcast participants may email questions during the workshop to the committee and speakers at
lymedisease@nas.edu or using the comment feature in the webcast window. As time allows, these questions will be incorporated into the session discussions. Please note that all comments should be as concise as possible to allow maximum participation throughout the workshop.
All comments emailed during the workshop should be session specific with the session title, for example "Surveillance, Spectrum, and Burden of Tick-Borne Diseases”, in the subject box.
All workshop comments will be summarized for inclusion in the workshop summary report and published in the committee's Public Access File in accordance with federal FACA regulations.
