The first session of this symposium was held in plenary and focused on mobilizing neighborhood and community grassroots efforts to prevent childhood obesity, including faith-based initiatives. The following session focused on mobilizing city, county, and state efforts.  Then the symposium divided into three break out groups: changing the environment to prevent childhood obesity, collaboration between public health and health care to prevent dhildhood obesity, and supporting and evaluating community efforts to prevent childhood obesity.

The symposium concluded with a final session on what more can be done?
