Meeting

At 3pm Eduardo Sanchez, Committee Chair, introduced the three panel speakers:

• Gerardo Mouet, Executive Director, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency, Santa Ana, CA;
• Matt M. Longjohn, MD, MPH, Senior Policy and Political Analyst, CLOCC (Chicago); Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine; and Institute Fellow and Project Director, Altarum Instititute
• Marice Ashe, Director, Public Health Law and Policy, Public Health Institute, Oakland, CA
  

The panelists each gave 25 minute presentations on obesity prevention efforts at the local government level.  These presentations were intended to inform the committee on promising practices to consider for recommendation in their report.
