The joint IOM/NRC Board on Children, Youth and Families hosted a workshop on June 29-30, 2009, on how student mobility—that is, the movement from one school to another—affects children. This workshop explored the relationship between student mobility and academic and other developmental outcomes. The workshop featured a discussion of future policy, program, and research directions.
