In addition to its leadership function, the IOM Executive Office is home to several activities that cut across program boundaries, such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Initiative on the Future of Nursing, at the Institute of Medicine, and the Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care. Also, the Executive Office administers special programs such as the Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Lecture Series, the Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health, and the Gustav O. Lienhard Award.
