Harvey V. Fineberg is President of the Institute of Medicine. He served as Provost of Harvard University from 1997 to 2001, following thirteen years as dean of the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Fineberg has served as president of the Society for Medical Decision Making and as a consultant to the World Health Organization. He is a past president of the Association of Schools of Public Health. Dr. Fineberg earned his bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Harvard University. Read more... |

Judith A. Salerno, M.D., M.S., is Executive Officer of the Institute of Medicine. Prior to coming to the IOM, Dr. Salerno was Deputy Director of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) at the National Institutes of Health and directed the Geriatrics and Extended Care programs of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Earlier in her career, she was a Senior Clinical Investigator at the NIA. Dr. Salerno earned her medical degree and masters degree in health policy from Harvard University. Read more… |
