In January 2001, the United States will see a transition to a new Administration, a new Congress, and new faces in areas of health policy. In response, IOM has prepared Informing the Future, which contains a description of the Institute and its research program. While not a comprehensive review of topics in health policy, it is representative of current or recent areas in which we have worked. It is designed to introduce the Institute to new senior officials who may not know us, or may be unfamiliar with the breadth of our work, but should also be valuable to anyone working in the health area. In addition, it contains contact information for IOM staff, and a bibliography by topic area of all recent IOM work.

Informing the Future: Critical Issues in Health. Second Edition was released on October 27, 2003.
